With extensive experience in a variety of industries, I recognise the need for businesses to evolve and effect change effectively and successfully in order to progress and realise commercial goals.
I began my business consultancy practice in 2002 and since then I have guided and advised many business clients through challenging and changing times.
I have a strong financial background (FCMA qualified) and with a wide range of management experience I've assisted, influenced and guided many business leaders to bring their teams together so that they point in the same strategic direction.
I will advise and support teams in the implementation of the strategy resulting in successful delivery.
I influence transformation and turnaround leading to more effective team performance resulting in improved profit and cash generation.
Pragmatism, teamwork and financial focus - but not financial dominance - are tenets and principles that Ian works to.
A specialist in identifying strategic direction, I act as a catalyst for change
and its implementation.
I can act as a Consultant or as a Non-Exec Director.

Working with Ian Guyler
“Ian played an important role in giving structure and cohesion to Board Meetings during what was a fairly turbulent period. He acted as a facilitator in bringing together various parties with differing views and objectives that culminated in a successful MBO in early 2008”
"He is particularly strong at working with owner managed and private businesses and builds rapport and trust with stakeholders who recognise the difference that he is able to make … very much adopting a non – threatening approachable and inclusive style to his work, which brings the best out of the senior teams with whom he works"
"He helped broaden the approach of the company and to implement stronger systems of measurement and control. This has resulted in an increase in solid cash reserves and the delivery of increased Turnover with strong Profits."
"I brought Ian into our business in 2012. I needed someone with fresh eyes to look at why we were struggling to maintain cash reserves and deliver increased profits.
Ian created a strong management team, and introduced tight financial reporting practices that have seen Notts Sport develop into one of the leading synthetic grass companies in the UK. Sales are up by 55% in that period, and we are now delivering increased net profit."
